Jennifer joined Childpeace as an Assistant in the Nido (infant room) in 1993. She quickly discovered her calling to work with the youngest children. In 1998, Jennifer moved into a Guide role after finishing her AMI Assistants to Infancy training. In 2002, she became a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) to stand up for children who cannot speak for themselves. In 2012 Jennifer was awarded the OMA Susie Huston Memorial Award by her peers in the Oregon Montessori community for her excellence and inspiration in teaching. Jennifer still finds herself in awe of the growth and development of the children in her care. Her own daughter joined Childpeace as a toddler in 2017.
